Description

Cold EPS Compactor 

Due to its excellent performance and low cost, EPS, also named polystyrene foam, is developing rapidly in recent years and widely used in such fields as industry, agriculture, transportation, military, aerospace industry and daily necessities.

EPS has advantages of low density, high strength, low water absorption and good noise insulation. It is also acidproof, alkaliproof, shockproof, decorative and easy-to-shape.

In addition to the large number of applications in cushioning packaging and food preservation packaging production, EPS products are becoming more and more widely used in the fields of construction and industry.

There are three types of polystyrene foam: EPS, PSP and XPS. It is 50-time-shaped, and made of 98% air and 2% materials. It is shockproof with the packaging of fixed air, which makes it a very a good and resource-saving packaging material.

EPS can replace some wood and paper in some applications, which saves the forest resources greatly.

EPS does not harm human hormones. Commissioned by Japan, the neutral institution TNO in Netherlands tested EPS and concluded that the styrene was safe to the human body.

The Application of EPS Foam Disintegrator

The wide application of EPS foam is vitally important to environment protection. To recycle EPS meets the requirements of environment protection and sustainable development.

Foam recycling is mostly via heat recovery. This conventional way makes the recycled foam of low quality and physical performance by greatly degrading the molecular weight which makes the foam brittle. To solve this problem, our company developed this foam disintegrator and compressor. This utility model and compressor technology disintegrate the foam and compress it into the volume of 50:1m3, which greatly reduce the area of the original foam thus

to save shipping space.

Working principles of EPS Foam Disintegrator and Compressor

Firstly, the recycled foam, which contains 98% air, is disintegrated into the original foam particles by the disintegrator. Secondly, these foam particles will be filtrated and transported into the compressor, in which the air contained by the articles will be completely extruded out. During the compression, the friction between EPS molecules produce a small portion of heat that makes them tightly conglutinated with each other. Finally, the compressed EPS will be shaped into well-regulated strips, making them easy to be piled, so as to effectively reduce the area of the products.
